Stop talking about the parts that you want to leave out.
Start talking about the parts you want to leave in.
Nothing new. Often heard? I have been taking more care over my mindset the past two years and trained it.
The change? My life is much more like I want it and there is much less of what I do not want.
Mindset according to dictionary:
1. A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person’s responses to and interpretations of situations.
2. An inclination or a habit.
We learn relatively late in our society, not yet at school, that our own attitude shapes our lives. For some years now I observe how do content people live? How are they thinking? How do they you speak? What are they doing?
How many times have I sung the song: I do not want this I have now. Whining. By that I strengthened wailing and got more things to complain about. I felt more and more unhappy. Being resentful. Why me? Why always me? Why had the others an apparently simpler, nicer, better life? Today I know from my own experience that those who actually did better have sung a different song- to stay with my description.
The beauty is, you always attract what you radiate and you radiate what you think of.
So today I’m surrounded by appreciative people. Gratitude is around. Joy. Abundance.
And everything starts with a first single step – as my calendar quote recalled today.
If you catch a thought of something you do not want, say stop. Quiet, or loud, which is even more effective. And then stop and think about what you want. Start thinking of what you do want. And keep it up. You can begin with a simple sentence saying: I would like to…
Focusing on what you want, gets you closer to it. Try it. It is worth it. And be always kind to yourself. That provides wellbeing. And that is the basis for a miraculous life. With yourself and with everyone around.
